Aware-A-Fair


Students from several high schools will be holding an action fair aimed at educating people about global humanitarian issues such as child soldiers, food security, HIV/aids and refugees. There will also be representation from a variety of different organizations to help raise awareness.

National Public Works Week

City of Burnaby Engineering Department

National Public Works Week (NPWW) is a celebration of the tens of thousands of men and women in North America who provide and maintain the infrastructure and services collectively known as public works.

Burnaby’s Engineering Department invites you to come out and view our trucks, equipment and meet some of the people involved in maintaining everything from streets to sewers.

Shop N' Stroll Fitness

 

Shop n’ Stroll is a workout that turns your stroller into a portable fitness machine and takes baby along for the ride. Classes consist of power walking combined with body sculpting exercises using exercise tubing, the stroller and the mall environment.

Hearts in Motion Mall Walkers Club

Sponsored by the Heart & Stroke Foundation, the Mall Walkers club enables seniors to get regular physical activity by walking the mall. Lougheed Town Centre sponsors a breakfast for club members three times per year. Registration takes place in September, but interested persons may contact Lougheed Customer Service at the number below for information at any time during the year.
